35: No Growth in the Comfort Zone

Zach Jacobs, a rising senior at Virginia Tech. As a Hokie, he had the opportunity to study Agribusiness Management with a minor in National Security and Foreign Affairs. He grew up in a small rural town outside of Staunton, VA. He did not grow up on a farm but quickly found his way into an organization called the National FFA Organization.

Through the FFA, he was given the chance to learn about agriculture and show cattle, sheep, and swine at their local Market Animal Show and Sale. It is because of this experience, he found a love for the agriculture industry and sharing with others about what agriculturalists do on a daily basis, which led him to study at Virginia Tech. After college, he wants to work to help educate the consumer public in order to help bring a positive light to the agriculture industry through public policy. Connect with Zach Jacobs on LinkedIn.
