56: Women are Dope (Throwback Thursday)

Tekita Bankhead was born in Columbus, Mississippi in 1989. Living in lower-income housing during her childhood, she had to bear the loss of her father early in life. However, she fought through it and continued to overcome adversity, eventually earning a full scholarship to Mississippi University for Women as a first-generation college student. 

She is a highly experienced Student Affairs professional with a demonstrated history of fruitful collaborative partnerships in the higher education industry. Skilled in Program Development, Crisis Management, Diversity & Inclusion Consulting, Health Promotion, Assessment, Advising People, and Teamwork. Strong education professional with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and a Master of Science (M.S.) focused in Counselor Education with an Emphasis in Student Affairs.
